than before, saying to one another, ‘ Who then can be saved ?’ jesus, gazing at them, replied, °‘ By

human power it is impossible ; but not with the help of God: for with God everything is possible l ’ Peter then began to say to Him,

‘Why, we have abandoned all, and followed You. said jesus, in

that no one who has aban· doned home, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, on account of Me and the good news, but will receive a hun· dredfold in the present time—with homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and lands, together with persecutions——and in the world to come eternal life.
