Thus says the LORD to His Messiah, To Cyrus, whose right hand He wields, To throw down Nations at his sight, And make the kingdoms bare; To open doors before his face, Nor shall the gates be shut. ‘ I will precede,and level hills, And I will smash the doors of bronze, And break the iron-bolted bars I And give to you the darkened hoards, And treasures from the cells, That you may know that I, the LORD, Who calledyour name, am Israel’s GOD.
