‘iWhen I inform you, will you not put me to death? And if I give you advice you will not listen to me l King Zedekiah, however, swore to

versation,—and you shall not die. For if the generals hear that I have talked with you, and come to you, and ask you, ‘ Inform us, we pray, what the king has said to you,—do not fear us for you shall not be put to death,———but what did the king say to you?’ you must say to them, ’ I presented an appeal to the king, that he would not send me back to the house of jhonathan to die there!
